She got schooled.

Well, my little girl is officially a school-aged child. For the next 15 years or so, there will never be an extended amount of time that she will not be attending school.

And that just gives me hives.

Her big day started with a nice breakfast of eggs and a juice box. We know how to dine up in these here parts.

And of course she made time to shine those pearly whites. She takes this task VERY seriously as you can tell by the look on her face.

Who could forget official first day of school picture time?? Oh not this momma, you betta baleeve that!!

After dropping Liv off at school, being that it was just a short day for her, John and I had a little time to waste. So what did we do? Take stupid pictures of course. Duh.

He told me to stick my tummy out as far as I could, so I did:

Then, he made this face:

I think he still likes me. I DID let him knock me up, afterall.

Livie's first day appeared to be a success:

So, how did we celebrate? With a Cotton Candy-flavored ice cream cone, of course!!

I sure am proud of my little lady, and so thrilled for her as she embarks on this exciting adventure! I love you Livie-loo! :)

That girl is too cute for words!! Sounds like she had a great first day and mommy and daddy managed to survive without her!

I hope she had a great day! You look wonderful, btw!

Yeah, what IS the deal with kids and that cotton candy ice cream? Mine too. Totally awful stuff, which takes away one of the few perks of parenting, getting to "clean up" the cone when it starts dripping. Who wants to clean up that cotton candy crap? :)

Oh Abbie she is so so cute!!! I love the picture of her giving you guys the thumbs up! So the question is did you cry at all? You and John crack me up. You guys are still the same 2 people I remember from high school and I love it! I'm so happy she has a great first day of school. I can't wait for the Junior High and High School days :)

I love the matching back pack and shirt. Very Fashion forward, Little Livie! BTW, are you SURE that you are due in 2 weeks? I looked like you at 5 months!

I can't get past the fact that she had her breakfast AND brushed her teeth while in her new outfit. Mind boggling.
She looks ADORABLE! Whatever will you do with your free time? Oh wait...that's right, you're about to pop out a baby. You won't have free time. Nevermind. :) :) :)

How exciting for Liv! Always...what perfect timing with baby number two almost here.I kind of wish we send Logan this year...just for his sake. For sure next year. He needs the play time and what not:)
Liv is a doll. I can't wait to see what little Sammy looks like(will you call her Sammy?)

I just popped in via Sphere and just had to say that your post on her first day made me grin from ear to ear. My "baby" started her first day of her Senior year this year. Gulp. But reading your post made me completely remember her first day of Kindergarten - which I DO remember like it was just last week! LOL.

Just checking to make sure that you didn't pop early.
